Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 1 Filter
The Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 1 Filter helps reduce highlight values whilst noticeably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and reducing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or soft focus filter, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the image. Density 1 provides a subtle reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
This filter also combines the diffusion effect with an 812 warming filter to bring overall warmth to the image and enhance skin tones. This warming effect also helps reduce blue sensitivity and soften excessively cool tones in the scene.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
