Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 2 Filter
The Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 2 filter helps reduce highlight values whilst noticeably lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing out and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Whilst designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters offer little loss of detail across the entire image. The 2 density provides moderate contrast and highlight reduction, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
This filter also combines the diffusion effect with an 812 warming filter to bring overall warmth to the image and enhance skin tones. This warming effect also helps reduce blue sensitivity and tone down overly cool tones in the scene.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process involving laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
