Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 3 Filter
The Tiffen 82mm Warm Pro-Mist 3 Filter helps reduce the intensity of highlights whilst noticeably decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike traditional diffusion or soft focus filters, Pro-Mist filters preserve most of the image detail. Density 3 provides a notable reduction in contrast and highlights, allowing for a soft, pastel light quality.
This filter also combines the diffusion effect with an 812 warming filter to provide overall warmth to the image and enhance skin tones. This warming effect also helps reduce blue sensitivity and diminish overly cool tones in the scene.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
