Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 62 mm Filter

The Tiffen Black Pro-Mist 1 62 mm Filter helps reduce the value of highlights whilst slightly decreasing overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for softening and smoothing facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters preserve detail throughout the image. The density 1 offers more contrast and highlight reduction than the 1/2, but less than the 2, whilst providing a soft, pastel light quality.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting it in precision metal rings.
