The Tiffen 62mm Glimmerglass 1 Filter is a dual-function enhancement filter: as well as altering the appearance of the image itself, it also features a sparkling appearance when seen head-on, which inspires greater confidence in the subject. The filter helps to soften skin details, blemishes and wrinkles. It also creates luminous highlights and a slight reduction in contrast for a more ethereal look. The density 1 provides slight softening and overall modification of the image.
This filter is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
