Tiffen 77mm Warm Pro-Mist 1/4 Filter

The Tiffen 77mm Warm Pro-Mist 1/4 filter helps to reduce the value of highlights whilst noticeably lowering overall contrast. This filter is particularly useful for smoothing and softening facial wrinkles and other imperfections. Although designed for cinematographic use, this filter can also be used for fashion and beauty applications. Unlike a traditional diffusion or blur filter, Pro-Mist filters cause little loss of detail across the image. The 1/4 density provides very slight contrast and highlight reduction and allows for soft light quality with pastel tones.
This filter also combines the diffusion effect with an 812 warming filter to bring overall warmth to the image and enhance skin tones. This warming effect also helps to reduce blue sensitivity and soften overly cool tones in the scene.
Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
