Tiffen 52mm Digital Diffusion/FX 3 Filter

The Tiffen 52mm Digital Diffusion/FX 3 filter is a softening and diffusion filter specifically designed to be invisible, as if no filtration was applied. Compared to other diffusion filters, this filter offers virtually no flare or loss of contrast for more subtle applications. It helps to soften facial imperfections, wrinkles and gently softens textured backgrounds whilst maintaining sharp focus. The density 3 offers more softening than the 2, but less than the 4.
This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates, polishing it flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
