Tiffen 52mm North Star Effect Filter
The Tiffen 52mm North Star Filter creates multiple points of light, or "stars", which extend outwards from a central light source. This filter is supplied in a rotating mount for precise placement of the star effect.
This filter is particularly useful for wedding photographers. It helps to create a romantic atmosphere and special effect that clients desire. North Stars are best used with a point light source such as a candle, match, torch or street lamp.
Tiffen's ColorCore glass is produced by a process that permanently laminates the filter material between two pieces of optical glass that are ground flat to tolerances of one ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounted in precision aluminium rings.
- The effect is produced by a series of fine lines engraved on the flat optical surface of a clear filter
