Tiffen 72 mm 812 Wide Angle Warming Filter
Ideal for portrait use, the Tiffen 72 mm 812 Wide Angle Warming Filter is used to enhance skin tones when shooting in cold lighting conditions. This filter offers a greater warming effect than a 1-A skylight filter and is particularly well suited for outdoor use in overcast conditions or in sunny weather when working in the shade. It can also be used to absorb the strong blue cast from electronic flash for more balanced and natural skin tones.
The filter is constructed using Tiffen's ColorCore technology, which involves laminating the filter material between two pieces of optical glass, ground flat to 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounted in an aluminium alloy ring. The wide angle version of this filter features a slimmer design and lower profile compared to the standard version and has no front thread to reduce the risk of vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses.
