Tiffen 72mm Wide Angle UV Protection Filter
The Tiffen 72mm Wide Angle UV Protection Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is especially useful when shooting at high altitudes or near large bodies of water. No additional colouration or contrast is added, allowing you to pair it with other filters.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture that could reach your lens and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratches could occur.
This filter features a slimmer profile mounting ring, ideal for use with wide-angle lenses. It has no front thread for stacking filters.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology; a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, polishing it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it on precision metal rings.
