Tiffen 77mm Wide Angle UV Protective Filter
The Tiffen 77mm Wide Angle UV Protective Filter is a clear general-purpose filter that helps absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. This filter is particularly useful when shooting at altitude or near bodies of water. No additional colouration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave permanently on lenses. Filters help reduce dust and moisture that could reach your lens and provide additional protection against drops or situations where scratches could occur.
This filter features a slimmer profile mounting ring, ideal for use with wide-angle lenses. It has no front thread for stacking filters.
Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 optical glass plates, grinding it to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, then mounting it in precision metal rings.
