The Formatt 4 x 5.65" circular polariser in Crown Schott-Desag B270 optical glass - Reflected light rays become polarised. Polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your lens. They can eliminate unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colours for better contrast.

The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and modified by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies depending on the rotation of the filter and its orientation to the sun.

Formatt's Crown polariser allows you to achieve a level of optical performance previously unavailable. The polarising film is manufactured between two pieces of Formatt's crystal clear white optical glass.
