The Formatt 4 x 5.65" Supermist Black 1/8 filter is an excellent filter for portraiture as it diffuses fine details in a photograph and reduces overall contrast. This filter creates a softer diffusion than a standard Supermist, one of the advantages being that it doesn't lighten shadow areas as much.
