The Formatt 5.65 x 5.65" Circular Polariser in Crown Schott-Desag B270 optical glass - Reflected light rays become polarised. Polarising filters are used to select which light rays enter your lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colours for better contrast.

The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and altered by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies depending on filter rotation and its orientation to the sun.

The Formatt Crown polariser allows you to achieve a level of optical performance previously unavailable. The polarising film is manufactured between two pieces of Formatt's water-white crystalline optical glass.
