The Formatt 5.65 x 5.65" Soft Gold Enhancing filter produces a professional softening effect without distinct diffusion. This filter is wonderful for 'concealing' facial imperfections and should be considered a "flattering" filter for portraiture. Its unique design allows the softening to be concentrated on a focal point at medium distance, leaving the background intact.

Note! Soft Gold Enhancers are available in grades 1-3, with 3 having the most pronounced effect

- Soft Gold Enhancers use internal reflection to disperse light from the subject
- The use of specially developed gold platelets eliminates harsh blue wavelengths from the image (yellow is the complementary colour of blue). They are suspended in a tinted matrix with a unique enhancer, which absorbs short, harsh wavelengths and transmits warmer, longer wavelengths. Light reflected by the platelets bounces off the internal boundary layer and is refracted from its normal path
- Back reflection on the internal surface of the filter produces a diffuse effect through refraction that softens the image at medium focal lengths
- Derived from the highly successful HD Soft filter, this filter is designed and manufactured to Formatt's traditional high standards and is suitable for High Definition work in addition to conventional film and video
