The Formatt 6.6 x 6.6" circular polariser in Crown Schott-Desag B270 optical glass - Reflected light rays become polarised. Polarising filters are used to select the light rays that enter your camera lens. They can eliminate unwanted reflections on non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colours for better contrast.

The effect can be observed through the viewfinder and modified by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to the rotation of the filter and its orientation relative to the sun.

Formatt's Crown polariser allows you to achieve a level of optical performance previously unavailable. The polarising film is manufactured between two pieces of Formatt's transparent white crystal optical glass. The absolute clarity of the glass combined with advanced polarising material makes Crown polarising filters particularly effective on demanding scenes.
