The Formatt 6.6 x 6.6" Supermist Black 1/2 filter is an excellent filter for portraits as it diffuses the finest details in a photograph and reduces overall contrast. This filter creates a softer diffusion than a standard Supermist, one advantage being that it doesn't lighten shadow areas as much.
