Utilising Sony's advanced imaging technology, the HDC-P31 delivers superb HD images with exceptionally high sensitivity of F12/F13(*1) and impressive low noise of 62dB. Adopting the same CMOS technologies, the camera can ensure consistent image quality, system and workflow with Sony's HDC series of system cameras. With its compact and lightweight design, it further expands applications such as in studios, at events, in places of worship as well as for difficult-to-access shots on cranes, rails or dollies.
Enhanced remote capabilities
Remote access via web interface(*2) enables menu adjustment, status monitoring, log files and camera firmware updates when installed in difficult-to-access locations. Supported lens back focus(*3) can be adjusted remotely from the Sony Master Setup Unit (MSU) or Remote Control Panel (RCP). And IP tally supports flexible and longer connection via network cable. All this contributes to a more efficient workflow.
The HDC-P31 supports HDR via S-Log3 / HLG and Sony's SR Live workflow, enabling simultaneous HDR and SDR production. The camera also supports SR Live metadata, which is embedded in the SDI signal stream and helps maintain the quality of HDR and SDR signals. The camera meets the growing demand for HDR production worldwide.
