The Yamaha PX5 stereo power amplifier delivers 500W at 8 Ohms in a lightweight chassis and is suited to a wide variety of sound reinforcement applications. As part of the brand's PX series of power amplifiers, it features a Class D engine with a unique custom LSI chip, and uses PLL technology for improved efficiency and reduced noise. Power Boost mode combines the output power of two channels into one, enabling significantly higher mono power levels to be achieved (the number of available channels is then halved).
The built-in DSP functions include PEQ, delay, active filter and limiter. They enable detailed configuration of parameters such as input and output routing, input sensitivity, amplification gain and speaker impedance. The D-Control multi-band dynamic processor delivers clear, consistent sound at any output level by shaping the frequency response of each speaker for front-of-house or monitor configurations.
The setup assistant saves time during installation by assigning optimised speaker settings matching your system configuration. It can be used in basic mode for quick setup or in advanced mode for more precise control of DSP parameters. You can store up to eight presets, which can be saved to a USB drive for use with other amplifiers and configurations.
For secure operation, the panel lock function ensures your settings remain protected. With its robust chassis and carrying handle, the PX5 is designed to withstand intensive use on the road.
