MORE THAN JUST AN EQUALISER...
The constant Q graphic equalisers EQ 215 (15+15 bands) and EQ 230 (30+30 bands) incorporate new functions such as equalisation range selection, feedback detection via illuminated faders, improved dynamic range and high-quality filters.
The EQ 230 combines two 30-band mono graphic equalisers, two fully parametric equalisation points and a feedback detection system (FFS). Unlike other automatic feedback elimination systems, the FFS is a simple detector that allows the operator to eliminate feedback during monitoring, whilst evaluating the overall effect produced by equalisation on the signal.
FEATURES
Continuously variable high-pass filter (10-300 Hz) for defining bandwidth (this filter is very useful for mixing string instruments, vocals and for controlling feedback at low frequencies)
- BALANCED: Equipped with electronically balanced input and output circuits for noise immunity during installations with long cabling.
- CONSTANT Q: Constant Q topology guarantees minimal interaction between bands and makes the bandwidth of each filter independent of the gain/attenuation setting.
- RANGE: Selection of overall gain/attenuation range for each band for more precise adjustment. Indication on front panel via dual LED.
- FFS: Feedback detection system (EQ-230 only). A microprocessor associated with each channel analyses the entire spectrum to detect and display any feedback. Direct LED indicator on each fader.
- PARAMETRIC: Incorporates a fully parametric equalisation point on each channel (EQ-230 only). The range is asymmetric (± 15 dB-30 dB) allowing settings as a notch filter.
- LOW NOISE: The use of very low noise circuits and other techniques achieves exceptional dynamic range.
- AUTO-BYPASS: Incorporates relay-controlled safety bypass circuits to eliminate on/off switch transients and for signal integrity in the event of internal failures.
