Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Creator Pedal
Designed for acoustic guitarists in amplified environments, the Zoom AC-2 Acoustic Creator pedal is a direct box aimed at recreating the natural sound of your guitar, restoring the timbre inevitably lost when using conventional acoustic pickups. The pedal offers 16 source presets, so whether your instrument is a dreadnought or parlour guitar, this unit has the tonal signature to suit you. You can even select presets for double bass, nylon-string guitars and 12-string instruments. An integrated switch lets you choose between magnetic and piezo, adapting the pedal's mechanics to each type of system. A three-band equaliser helps you balance the sound of your instrument, while reverb, adjustable volume, feedback control and an integrated tuner are also assets. There is even a boost switch to give you up to 9 dB of gain during breaks or solos. Moreover, whatever sound you choose, the high-quality low-noise preamplifier will help you achieve a rich and resonant timbre. The master volume knob controls both the input gain and output level, eliminating guesswork when adjusting sound levels. A standard instrument input is provided to connect to the pedal. For outputs, you can use either the balanced XLR jack or, if a stereo sound is required, the two 1/4" connections will get you there. This routing makes it easy to use with amplifiers, mixing consoles, interfaces and even headphones, as one of the 1/4" jacks also serves as a headphone output to monitor your sound directly from the direct box. Power is available via the included power supply, batteries or USB.
