Zoom AC-3 Acoustic Creator Pedal

Designed for acoustic guitarists and singer-songwriters, the Zoom AC-3 is a direct box that aims to recreate the natural sound of your guitar, restoring the timbre inevitably lost when using conventional acoustic pickups. The pedal features 16 Source presets, so whether your instrument is a dreadnought or a parlour guitar, this unit has the tonal signature to suit you. In addition, you'll find a Target knob containing 12 additional tonal signatures for further adjustments. Let's say you play a Martin D-18 dreadnought guitar. With these two knobs, you could select "dreadnought" with the Source knob and "D-18" with the Target knob to precisely fine-tune your sound.
A built-in pickup selector allows you to choose between magnetic and piezo, thus adapting the pedal's mechanics to each type of system. A three-band EQ helps you balance your instrument's sound, whilst reverb, adjustable volume, anti-feedback control, a single-band compressor and a built-in tuner are also assets. In fact, you have two independent reverbs: one that can be permanently set, and another in the effects section; so if you want to apply a slap to your already reverberated guitar sound, it's not only possible, but encouraged. The Zoom AC-3 also includes a boost switch to give you up to 9 dB of gain during breaks or solos. Moreover, whatever sound you choose, the high-quality, low-noise preamplifier will help you achieve a rich and resonant sound. The master volume knob controls both input gain and output level, eliminating guesswork in balancing sound levels.
A standard instrument input is provided for connection to the pedal. For outputs, you have a choice: 6.35 mm stereo jack sockets (one of which functions as a headphone output), or two balanced XLR connections. This flexible configuration makes routing to amplifiers, mixing consoles, PA systems and audio interfaces easy. Additionally, a pre/post switch on the XLR section allows you to send an unprocessed direct signal to the PA if desired. Also, a USB port facilitates MIDI control, whilst enabling direct connection/recording to a computer. A Zoom FS01 pedal, sold separately, can be connected to the pedal to provide momentary control of effect parameters. You can power the Zoom AC-3 via the supplied power adapter, with two AA batteries, or via USB.
