The PVM-X1800 4K HDR high-quality picture monitor incorporates Sony's high-end LCD panel and delivers 1000 cd/m2 luminance and colour matching with the BVM-HX310 4K HDR master monitor, thus facilitating group monitoring on sets, in studios and OB truck walls, 19" EIA racks, editing, audio mixing, etc.

TRIMASTER is a design architecture for accurate image reproduction, precise rendering and consistent picture quality.

There are many advantages in panel control and signal processing system such as fast processing, precise linearisation of an input signal with electro-optical transfer function, accurate colour reproduction, etc.

Dynamic Contrast Drive and high/medium/low black detail

Dynamic Contrast Drive is a new backlight drive system that dynamically changes the backlight luminance to suit the scene in a picture. You can easily check the overall balance of highlights and shadows at a glance. This monitor can dynamically achieve a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 thanks to this system.

From 12G-SDI and Quad-Link 3G-SDI to HD-SDI as well as HDMI

The PVM-X1800 can accept 12G-SDI from the latest devices and can receive quad-link 3G-SDI and single HD-SDI for traditional equipment. This versatile input is HDMI and supports PC signals from 640x480/60P to 4096x2160/60P 4:2:2 YCBCR 12-bit.

Various oscilloscopes

The waveform monitor and vectorscope can be displayed simultaneously with scales for HDR or SDR. You can easily check both the input signal level and output luminance thanks to the WFM HDR scales. The waveform offers three different displays: luminance, RGB/YCBCR parade or RGB/YCBCR overlay with gamut error display. The waveform of a specific line can also be displayed.

One to four-screen display with user 3D LUT

The PVM-X1800 offers a four-screen display, with individual settings for EOTF (SDR/HDR), colour space, transfer matrix, colour temperature, contrast, brightness, SDI/HDMI, RGB/YCBCR, as well as user 3D LUTs for each display view.

New user interface and channel selection button

The OSD has been significantly redesigned and using this monitor is faster and more intuitive. The menu design allows you to check settings and change some of them very quickly. The channel selection button protects the operator from inadvertent incorrect settings.

Practical functions for field use

24V DC operation enables field use despite its large 18.4" screen and very high luminance of 1000 cd/m2. The optional protection panel protects the high-end LCD screen against accidental impacts. User 3D LUTs and bracket mounting are also supported. Dynamic Contrast Drive is very useful for night shoots.

Various mounting options

Despite its large 18.4-inch screen size, the PVM-X1800 can be installed in a standard 19-inch EIA rack for use in studios and outside broadcast vehicles. Bracket mounting and VESA mounting are also convenient for installing it on a C-stand for field use and on a desk arm for editing.
