The screen control system and signal processing offer many advantages such as fast processing, precise linearisation of an input signal with the electro-optical transfer function, faithful colour reproduction, etc.
Dynamic contrast and black detail High/Medium/Low
Dynamic contrast is a new backlight system that dynamically changes the backlight luminance to suit the scene of an image. You can easily check the overall balance of highlights and shadows at a glance. This monitor can dynamically achieve a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 thanks to this system.
From 12G-SDI and Quad-Link 3G-SDI to HD-SDI as well as HDMI
The PVM-X2400 can accept 12G-SDI from the latest equipment and can receive quad-link 3G-SDI and single HD-SDI for traditional equipment. This input supports HDMI from 640x480/60P PC signal up to 4096 x 2160/60P 4:2:2 YCBCR 12bit.
Various scopes
The waveform monitor and vectorscope can be displayed simultaneously with scales for HDR and SDR. You can easily check the input signal level and output luminance using the HDR WFM scales. The waveform offers three different displays: luminance, RGB/YCBCR parade or RGB/YCBCR overlay with gamut error display. The waveform of a specific line can also be displayed.
Unique quad display with user 3D LUT
The PVM-X2400 offers quad display, with individual settings for EOTF (SDR/HDR), colour space, transfer matrix, colour temperature, contrast, brightness, SDI/HDMI, RGB/YCBCR, as well as user 3D LUTs for each view
New user interface and channel selection button
The OSD has been extensively revised and the operation of this monitor is faster and more intuitive. The menu design allows you to check settings and make certain adjustments very quickly. The channel selection button protects the operator from inadvertent setting errors.
Practical features for field use
24V DC operation enables field use despite its large 24" screen and very high luminance of 1000 cd/m2. The optional protection panel protects the high-end LCD screen from accidental impacts. User 3D LUTs and yoke mounting are also supported. Dynamic contrast is very useful for night shots.
Various mounting options
Despite its large 24-inch screen size, the PVM-X2400 can be installed in a standard 19-inch EIA rack for use in studios and outside broadcast vehicles. Yoke mounting and VESA mounting are also convenient for installation on a C-stand for field use and on a desktop arm for editing.
Powerful stereo sound with mute
The PVM-X2400 incorporates stereo speakers (2W+2W) with mute.
