The Sennheiser MD 441 U is a supercardioid dynamic studio microphone. The microphone features a supercardioid polar pattern offering impressive rejection of off-axis noise from mechanical noise, room ambience, monitors, etc. The dynamic capsule handles high sound pressure levels and offers a wide frequency response from 30 to 20,000 Hz. This makes the microphone suitable for drums, percussion, electric guitar, brass and other instruments with high transient (peak) response. Adding to its versatility, it features a 5-position bass cut switch and a 2-position high-frequency contour switch. The output stage includes a hum-bucking coil, eliminating noise and hum caused by poor cables, earthing, etc. Dynamic Capsule The MD 441 U features an internally shock-mounted capsule, resulting in uniform signal response at close and reasonable distances. Supercardioid Polar Pattern The supercardioid polar pattern is effective at attenuating off-axis noise and ambience.
