Adder's new generation USB, video and audio extension delivers sharp, bright and high resolution video images along with high quality sound for multi-screen desks, at distances up to 300m (1000ft) over CATx cables. The AdderLink X-USB PRO MS has been designed to offer industry leading video clarity, compatibility and rack density. Precision Video VGA resolutions of 1920 x 1200 are achievable at 300 metres (1000ft). This is achieved via a variable noise filter which overcomes issues introduced by increasing the gain when cable length exceeds 200 metres. Video Compensation A multi-pole compensation technique is used to enable superb video quality at maximum distance over a single cable. For the first time, adjustments can be made for cable type and length, with additional compensation for colour shift and gain adjustment to ensure crystal clear images, all from the receiver's keyboard. Local Loop-through Port A local loop-through port is provided for audio and video so that a local console can be used. Two-page Emulated EDID DDC This extender supports full two-page EDID DDC. Some high-performance video cards require the two-page data, otherwise they will not provide optimal performance. USB Support The X-USB extends USB 2.0 (low and full speed) allowing all USB-compatible peripherals (including isochronous devices) to be extended. The receiver unit features an integrated 4-port USB hub to allow a complete desk to be remotely located, including keyboard, monitor, mouse, hard drive, USB stick, webcam and any other device that would normally be plugged into your computer's USB port. CD Quality Audio Extension 2-channel 16-bit audio sampled at 44.1kHz (CD quality) is transferred from local to remote for line-out/speaker use. Two-user Configuration Two X-USB PRO units can be connected to a single computer so that two users can access the system. When using two sets of X-USB PRO modules to allow two users to access a single computer, arbitration between users is managed by the computer's USB subsystem. This means that both users can control the computer at exactly the same time and the resulting influences from keyboard and mouse will be a combination of both inputs. Rack Options The transmitter and receiver units can be used standalone or up to 8 units can be mounted in a 2U chassis.
