The AdderLink XD522 is a high-performance KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) extender that allows you to place your critical computer equipment in a secure and climate-controlled environment, remote from the user workstation, while maintaining the same user experience.
It can transmit either two 1920x1200 video streams or a higher resolution video stream (2560x1600 WQXGA), digital audio (S/PDIF), analogue audio, high-speed USB 2.0 and USB 2.0 (full and low speed) over CATx cables.

Perfect Digital Video, Real-Time Control
The system is uncompressed, every pixel of every frame is transmitted losslessly. The receiver supports dual Display Port mode (DP++), which means that screens that only support HDMI or DVI can be used (with the appropriate adapter cable).
Single CATx Cable
Video, USB 2.0 (HID only) and audio all pass through a single cable. A second CATx cable is required for high-speed USB 2.0 extension.
Extension Distances Up to 150 Metres
The distance depends on the screen resolution, number of screens, cable type and number of connection points for patch panels and wall plates. Refer to the table on the datasheet for more details.
USB 2.0
Allows connection of any USB human interface device, from mice and keyboards to graphics tablets, jog shuttles, joysticks and 3D explorers. Mass storage devices and isochronous devices such as webcams and headsets can be used via the transparent high-speed USB 2.0 port.
EDID Management
The system has intelligent EDID management allowing the true characteristics of the screen to be transmitted to the computer.
Plug and Play
The AdderLink XD522 extender is supplied in a zero-configuration state, so you can plug in the units and start using them immediately. No drivers or software need to be installed.
Digital Audio
Supports S/PDIF interface via 3.5 mm optical socket (dual purpose with analogue audio via mini Toslink).
HD Quality Analogue Audio
HD audio quality (24-bit stereo channel sampled at 96 kHz) is available for transferring audio from local to remote for line in/line out. Microphone and headset use cases are also supported.
4K Resolution Support
Now supports 4K resolutions up to 3840x2160 (VESA timing).
