The VM−8UX is a compact, high-performance 1:8 distribution amplifier for broadcast-quality SDI signals up to 12G data transmission rate. It automatically adapts to the data rate of an input SDI signal, equalises and resynchronises the signal to improve the range of the transmitted signal, and distributes the signal to eight identical SDI outputs.
Reliable wired connectivity — Broadcast-quality coaxial cables are reliably connected via locking BNC connectors, preventing accidental disconnections, for fast and highly professional deployments of uncompressed SDI signal distribution.

Extended range input extension — Input signal equalisation and output signal resynchronisation for extended range signal extension. Using high-quality Kramer SDI coaxial cables, supports extension up to 300m (984ft) for SD signals; 200m (656ft) for HD 1.5G signals; 100m (328ft) for HD 3G and 6G signals; 80m (260ft) for 4K 12G signals.

Data transmission rate — Auto-adaptation of data rates from 270Mbps to 12Gbps.

Compliance — Complies with SMPTE 259M (SD-SDI), 292M (HD-SDI), 344M (ED-SDI), 424M (3G HD-SDI), ST-2081 (6G-SDI) and ST-2082 (12G-SDI) standards.

Max. resolution — 4K@60Hz (4:2:2) 30bpp.

SDI signal transmission — SDI, HD-SDI, 3G HD-SDI, 6G and 12G SDI compliant signals, supporting passage of standard embedded audio channels with auxiliary identification information and metadata.

LED indicators — Status indicators for transmitted SDI data rate of connected input and output signals, and power indicator, for easy maintenance and troubleshooting.
