Aja 1-channel 12G SDI single-mode LC SFP fibre optic transceiver
AJA's SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) and SFP+ fibre optic modules are compact, hot-swappable optical transceiver modules with simplex or duplex SC, LC or ST connectors. This module is the FIBERLC-TR-12G, a single-channel 12G-SDI single-mode LC fibre optic transceiver.
The modules are typically hot-swappable and connect to an SFP port commonly found on fibre optic equipment. SFP modules allow rapid changes of cable connectors or optical transmission wavelengths. SFP connections can handle up to 4.25 Gbps. SFP+ modules offer higher bandwidth and data rates up to 16 Gbps, with the most common implementations being around 10 Gbps.
AJA offers a range of products and options allowing you to make the most of your fibre optic infrastructure. Several of their product ranges are available with SFP cages, enabling you to add SFP fibre optic inputs and/or outputs for recording and playback in the case of the Ki Pro range or to handle frame synchronisation and complex conversions with the FS range.
