The AJA ROI-HDMI mini-converter enables exceptional high-quality conversion of computer and HDMI outputs to baseband video via SDI at an affordable price and in a highly portable format. With extensive audio features, incredible image scaling as well as aspect ratio and frame rate conversion, the ROI-HDMI meets the growing need to properly integrate computer signals into the video world without sacrificing budget or space.
Region of Interest
Eliminate clutter from additional interfaces and menu bars and extract only the part of the computer screen you want.
Connecting a ROI mini-converter via USB to a computer running the free Mini-Config application allows you to interactively select a region of interest from the incoming computer signal and have full control over how that region is scaled to the output resolution, using AJA's high-quality scaling algorithms to achieve the best possible image quality.
Conversion
Take full control of aspect ratio and frame rate conversion with the Mini-Config software's on-screen controls that show you exactly what your source and output will look like and what formats are coming in and going out. Simple menu controls allow you to quickly choose the appropriate output for each situation
Connectivity
The ROI uses a direct loop, allowing it to be placed in-line whilst maintaining a connection to an external monitor when extracting to SDI. The reference input ensures that the SDI signal leaving the ROI is locked for use throughout production or installation.
Audio
The ROI accepts 2-channel audio from the 3.5mm analogue audio input or 8-channel embedded audio from an HDMI input. The audio source and routing can be selected in the Mini-Config software and are integrated into the SDI output. This allows computer audio to be integrated into the SDI signal for easy and synchronised routing.
Universal Power Supply
All AJA mini-converters come with a universal power supply that includes international connections for worldwide use.
Compact and Portable
AJA mini-converters are small enough to fit behind a monitor, at the back of a rack or directly on a camera mount. A locking power connector cannot accidentally become disconnected and an optional P-TAP power cable enables battery power in remote locations.
