The WB170 can be equipped with WB172 transmitter or receiver cards or WB172-63 multi-format SFP cards. All cards are inserted from the front of the chassis.


The WB172-63 and WB172-63TR provide a base unit comprising two SFP cages. By using different SFP converter modules, the unit's functionality can be adapted to suit different applications. Multi-format SFPs include conversion to and from Composite, HDMI, DVI, optical and SDI. The units can also be used to regenerate optical signals from multimode to single-mode or to remap wavelengths in existing fibre systems.
