The Shax system from Bluebell has been designed to allow SD-SDI and HD-SDI broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors to be deployed using ordinary single-mode optical fiber.


This system enables the user to replace the hybrid fiber/copper cable between the camera and the CCU with a standard fiber cable. The Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and

concert halls with pre-installed fiber networks.


Both ends of this system are enclosed in a compact, lightweight and reinforced aluminum housing, ideally suited for outdoor broadcast applications and mobile configurations where the camera can be powered locally.


Shax extends the range of the camera system and frees the operator from long lengths of cumbersome hybrid cable. Connection with duplex single-mode fiber is via standard SC, LC, ST or FC connectors.
