The Shax system from Bluebell has been designed to enable SD-SDI and HD-SDI broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors to be deployed using ordinary single-mode optical fibre.nnThis system allows the user to replace the hybrid fibre/copper cable between the camera and the camera control unit (CCU) with a standard fibre cable. The Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas andnnconcert halls that have pre-installed fibre networks.nnBoth ends of this system are enclosed in a compact, lightweight and reinforced aluminium housing, ideally suited to outdoor broadcast applications and reporting kits where the camera can be powered locally.nnShax extends the range of the camera system and frees the operator from long lengths of cumbersome hybrid cable. Connection with duplex single-mode fibre is via standard SC, LC, ST or FC connectors.
