The Bluebell ShaxX system has been designed to provide power insertion for broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors, allowing them to be powered remotely via the hybrid cable. The ShaxX-DUAL enables two cameras to be powered from a single mains power supply via their own individual hybrid cables.


Power can be inserted and transferred to the remote camera which can be located up to 300 m away.

When combined with the Shax-CCU, cameras can be deployed remotely using an ordinary single-mode fiber optic network that may exist in a stadium.


This system enables the user to replace the fiber/copper hybrid cable between the camera and CCU with a standard fiber cable and relay all communications and signals.

This frees the camera from the constraint of being connected to a local mains power supply.

The ShaxX/Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls that have pre-installed fiber networks.


The ShaxX-DUAL is enclosed in a robust and reinforced aluminium housing, ideally suited for outdoor broadcast applications and mobile setups. The ShaxX-DUAL can also be combined with the BC364 multiformat interface to carry signals from multiple cameras over a single cable. This can help reduce and simplify assembly and installation time.


Front panel LEDs provide instant feedback on the operational status of the link between each camera and CCU.
