The Bluebell ShaxX system has been designed to provide power insertion for broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors, enabling them to be powered remotely via the hybrid cable. The ShaxX-DUAL allows two cameras to be powered from a single mains supply via their own individual hybrid cables.


Power can be inserted and transferred to the remote camera which can be located up to 300 m away.

When combined with the Shax-CCU, cameras can be deployed remotely using the ordinary single-mode optical fibre network that may exist in a stadium.


This system allows the user to replace the fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and the CCU with a standard fibre cable and relay all communications and signals.

This frees the camera from the need to be connected to a local mains power supply.

The ShaxX/Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls with pre-installed fibre networks.


The ShaxX-DUAL is enclosed in a robust and reinforced aluminium housing, ideally suited to outdoor broadcast and rapid deployment applications. The ShaxX-DUAL can also be combined with the BC364 multi-format interface to transport the signals from multiple cameras on a single cable. This can help reduce and simplify assembly and installation time.


Front panel LEDs provide instant operational feedback on the link status between each camera and the CCU.
