The OTR 1442 is a standalone optical fibre transmission kit for transporting 4 discrete SDI signals (or uncompressed 4K / 12G) over a single optical fibre link. The kit includes the fibre transmitter, fibre receiver and power supplies. It is an ideal solution for transmitting multiple uncompressed SDI streams, or 4K up to 20 km without any loss.


Each SDI channel is completely independent. For 4K use, the signal is distributed over 4 separate 3G SDI links (12G) and supports full 4K resolution at 60 fps. The system can also be used for any combination of SDI signals, with a mix of formats and bit rates if required. Each channel automatically detects and resynchronises SDI bit rates of 270 Mbit, 1.48 Gbit and 2.97 Gbit.


An expansion port is included for connecting the OTR 1441 to add 4 additional SDI channels (or 8K / 24G over a single fibre), or to add bidirectional Ethernet data or RS 232 serial data into the link.


LED indicators are provided for channel presence and power. An optional 19" rack mounting tray is available, which can accommodate up to 4 modules (RFR 1018).


Note. Internal CWDM optical multiplexing is used in the modules. This kit should be considered as a standalone point-to-point solution and should not be integrated into external CWDM systems. An expansion port is included on each module and can be used to add additional SDI channels from the OTR 1441, or a bidirectional Ethernet signal or RS232 serial.
