The Bluebell ShaxX system has been designed to provide power insertion to broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors, enabling them to be powered remotely via the hybrid cable. The ShaxX-DUAL allows two cameras to be powered from a single mains power supply via their own individual hybrid cables. Power can be inserted and transferred to the remote camera which can be located up to 300 m away. When combined with the Shax-CCU, cameras can be deployed remotely using an ordinary single-mode fibre optic network that may exist in a stadium. The Shax-DUAL is switchable between leading camera manufacturers for easy deployment. This system enables the user to replace the fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and the CCU with a standard fibre cable and relay all communications and signals. This frees the camera from the need to be connected to a local mains power supply. The ShaxX/Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls with pre-installed fibre networks. The ShaxX-DUAL is housed in a robust and reinforced aluminium enclosure, ideally suited to outside broadcast applications and rapid deployment. The ShaxX can also be combined with BC series multi-format interfaces to carry signals from multiple cameras over a single cable. This can help reduce and simplify setup and installation time. Contact the sales office for additional information on available options. The front panel LEDs provide instant feedback on the status of the link between each camera and CCU.
