The Bluebell ShaxX system has been designed to provide power insertion for broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors, enabling them to be powered remotely via the hybrid cable. The ShaxX-DUAL allows two cameras to be powered from a single mains supply via their own individual hybrid cables.

Power can be inserted and transferred to the remote camera which can be located up to 300 m away.

When combined with the Shax-CCU, cameras can be deployed remotely using ordinary single-mode optical fibre networks that may exist in a stadium.

The Shax-DUAL is switchable between major camera manufacturers for easy deployment.

This system allows the user to replace the fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and the CCU with a standard fibre cable and relay all communications and signals.

This frees the camera from the constraint of being connected to a local mains power supply.

The ShaxX/Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls that have pre-installed fibre networks.

The ShaxX-DUAL is enclosed in a robust and reinforced aluminium housing, ideally suited to outdoor broadcast applications and portable systems. The ShaxX can also be combined with BC series multi-format interfaces to transport the signals from multiple cameras on a single cable. This can help reduce and simplify assembly and installation time. Please contact the sales office for additional information on available options.

Front panel LEDs provide instant feedback on the operational status of the link between each camera and CCU.
