The 692 is a high-performance HDBaseT 2.0 fibre receiver for ultra-long distance extension of HDMI 4K60Hz (4:2:0), USB, Ethernet, RS-232, IR and stereo audio signals over multimode or single-mode fibre optic. The 692 converts the HDBaseT 2.0 optical signal received from an extended line transmitter, such as the Kramer 691, into HDMI 4K60Hz (4:2:0), USB 2.0, Ethernet, RS-232, IR and stereo audio output signals. The 692 extends video signals up to 33 km (20.5 miles) over single-mode fibre with resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (4:2:0). High-performance standard fibre extender — HDBaseT 2.0 fibre receiver for ultra-long distance signal transmission over multimode or single-mode fibre optic infrastructures, using Kramer's OSP SFP+ pluggable units. The 692 is a standard fibre extender that can be connected to any HDBaseT-compatible extension product available on the market. Note: To guarantee Kramer support and warranty for the 692 product, only use Kramer-certified high-performance OSP SFP+ optical pluggable units. For optimal extension range and performance, use Kramer OSP SFP+ units and Kramer recommended cables. Non-Kramer cables may not achieve these ranges. HDMI signal extension — HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 1.4 compatible. Supports colour depth, x.v.Color™, lip sync, uncompressed HDMI audio channels, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, 2K, 4K and 3D. EDID and CEC signals are transmitted from source to display. Kramer I-EDIDPro™ Intelligent EDID Processing™ — Intelligent EDID management, processing and transmission algorithm that ensures Plug and Play operation for HDMI source and display systems. USB extension — The USB 2.0 interface enables bi-directional data flow, allowing extension of HID (Human Interface Devices) such as a mouse or keyboard. High bandwidth USB devices, such as isochronous stream USB cameras and audio devices, transfer data continuously and periodically. The delivery of their transferred data is not guaranteed by the USB standard and is subject to USB and HDBaseT bandwidth management limitations. When such devices are connected, verify their functionality to ensure bandwidth limitations are not exceeded. Ethernet extension — The Ethernet interface enables bi-directional data flow, providing Ethernet connectivity up to 100 Mbit/s for LAN communication and device control. Bi-directional RS-232 extension — The serial interface enables bi-directional data flow for data transmission and device control. Bi-directional infrared extension — The IR interface enables bi-directional data flow for remote control of devices located at each end of the extended line. Audio de-embedding (Drop-and-Continue) — The transmitted digital audio signal is extracted from the AV signal (dropped), converted to an analogue signal for transmission to a balanced stereo analogue audio output, alongside its transmission (continued) to the HDMI AV output. This enables high-quality audio playback by routing audio to external speakers alongside routing audio to the local speakers of the connected AV-accepting device (such as TVs with speakers). Cost-effective maintenance — LED status indicators for HDMI input and HDBT output link facilitate local troubleshooting. Remote device management via the built-in web interface and RS-232 connection allow simple device maintenance. Kramer Network support provides remote device and network management. Local and remote firmware upgrade via mini-USB, RS-232 or Ethernet connection and the K-Upload tool ensure sustainable and field-proven deployment. Easy installation — Fanless 19" rack-mountable half-width 1U enclosure allowing side-by-side mounting of 2 units in a 1U rack space.
