Single-mode optical receiver card 3G-SDI with 8 x analogue audio de-embedder

The BC450R is a receiver for converting an optical signal to 3G/HD/SD-SDI with the capability to de-embed 8 analogue audio channels. The incoming optical signal is directed to a transimpedance and limiting amplifier before being electrically re-clocked to the outputs. An internal de-embedder drives the 8 analogue outputs via a 24-bit D/A converter.
All Bluebell cards are designed to maintain maximum signal path integrity, providing excellent jitter-free optical transport.
The BC450R de-embedder can be used with a BC460T embedder enabling AES inputs to feed the analogue outputs. The BC450R is available in multimode, single-mode, WDM and CWDM versions to suit any fibre application.

The BC450R occupies a single slot in the 19″ BC100-3RU chassis which can accommodate up to 15 single slot cards. Some BC series processing cards have dual functionality allowing transmission or reception of up to 30 video channels from a single 3RU chassis.
Signal and card monitoring is performed via SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card.
Alternatively, GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.

For standalone applications, the BC450R can be housed in a robust individual enclosure.
