Multimode video receiver card composite + 2 x balanced line level analogue audio

The BC501R is a receiver for converting optical signals into analogue composite video and two analogue audio channels. The incoming optical signal is sent to a transimpedance and limiting amplifier before digital-to-analogue conversion and feeding a video line driver. The two separate audio channels are amplified and presented on the rear panel. The card is not dependent on a video signal for transmission and can be used as an audio-only transmission system. All Bluebell cards are designed to maintain maximum signal path integrity, providing excellent jitter-free optical transport.

The BC501R is available in multimode, single-mode, WDM and CWDM versions to suit any fibre application. The BC501 will also transmit tri-level sync, VITS, SIS, teletext data and timecode. The BC501 can be used with a standard optical splitter to optically distribute sync and timecode throughout an entire facility.

The BC501R occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" chassis which can accommodate up to 15 single-slot cards. Some BC series processing cards have dual functionality allowing transmission or reception of up to 30 video channels from a single 3RU chassis.
Signal and card monitoring is performed via SNMP monitoring in the BM102 network card.

For standalone applications, the BC501R can be housed in a rugged individual enclosure.
