The BC720 is a transceiver card allowing the transmission and reception of 4 independent GPIO signals plus 4 RS232 or RS422/485 level signals via a fibre optic cable using two independent wavelengths. The 4 GPIO input signals are TTL level inputs with the 4 GPIO outputs provided via an isolated relay contact.
The BC720 can also operate in mixed mode allowing RS232 to RS422/485 links to be established, eliminating the need for external mode converters.
All Bluebell cards are designed to maintain maximum signal path integrity offering excellent jitter-free optical transport.
The BC720 is available in multimode and single mode versions to suit any fibre application.
The BC720 occupies a single slot in the BC100-3RU 19" rack chassis which can accommodate up to 15 single-slot cards. This dual functionality allows up to 30 video channels to be transmitted or received from a single 3RU chassis.
Signal and card monitoring is carried out via SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card.
Alternatively, GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module.
For standalone applications, the BC720 can be housed in a robust individual enclosure.
