The BC720 is a transceiver card enabling transmission and reception of 4 independent GPIO signals plus 4 RS232 or RS422/485 level signals via a fibre optic cable using two independent wavelengths. The 4 GPIO input signals are TTL level inputs with the 4 GPIO outputs provided via isolated relay contact closure. The BC720 will also operate in mixed mode allowing RS232 to RS422/485 links, thus eliminating the need for external mode converters. All Bluebell cards are designed to maintain maximum signal path integrity, providing excellent optical transport without jitter. The BC720 is available in multimode and single-mode versions to suit any fibre application. The BC720 occupies a single slot in the rack-mountable 19" BC100-3RU chassis which can accommodate up to 15 single-slot cards. This dual functionality allows transmission or reception of up to 30 video channels from a single 3RU chassis. Signal and card monitoring is carried out via SNMP monitoring in the BM101 network card. Alternatively, GP-Output alarms can be triggered via the BM100 module. For stand-alone applications, the BC720 can be housed in a robust individual enclosure. Specifications
