CWDM 4 Channel Card Centre Wavelengths 1350/1370/1390/1410 nm

The BC-4 is a passive device for multiplexing or demultiplexing different optical wavelengths onto or from a single mode fibre optic cable. Each unit allows the combination/separation of up to 4 channels with 20 nm wavelength spacing based on ITU G.694.2 grid specifications. The addition of further BC-4 or BC-8 cards allows the system to transmit a total of 16 independent wavelengths over a single fibre, proving to be a very cost-effective solution for system designers working with third-party leased fibres or for outside broadcasting.

The BC-4 occupies a single slot in all BC series 19" rack chassis.
This module is designed for applications where space is at a premium, ideal for portable OB systems when fitted into BC160/BC160P units.

The BC-4D occupies two slots in all BC series 19" rack chassis.
This module can be used for cost-effective installations where space is not critical.

The 19" 1RU BC160P chassis is specially designed to accommodate passive optical modules, including splitters, WDM and CWDM devices. When used in combination with active chassis, they produce ultra-compact optical multiplexing and distribution systems.

For standalone applications, the BC-4 can be housed in an individual ruggedised BC120 enclosure.
