8-channel CWDM card with central wavelengths 1270/1290/1310/1330/1350/1370/1390/1410 nm

The BC-8 is a passive device for multiplexing or demultiplexing different optical wavelengths to or from a single-mode fibre optic cable. Each unit allows combining/separating up to 8 channels with 20 nm wavelength spacing based on ITU G.694.2 grid specifications. Adding additional BC-4 or BC-8 cards allows the system to transmit a total of 16 independent wavelengths over a single fibre, providing a very cost-effective solution for system designers working with leased third-party fibres or outside broadcasting.

The BC-8 occupies a single slot in the BC series 19" chassis.
This module is designed for space-constrained applications, ideal for portable outside broadcast systems when installed in BC160/BC160P units.

The BC-8D occupies two slots in the BC series 19" chassis.
This module can be used for economical installations where space is not critical.
The BC160P 19" 1RU chassis is specifically designed to house passive optical modules, including splitters, WDM and CWDM devices. Used in combination with active chassis, they produce ultra-compact optical multiplexing and distribution systems.

For standalone applications, the BC-8 can be housed in an individual rugged BC120 enclosure.
