The BC323R is a receiver for converting two independent optical signals into 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, SD-SDI and ASI electrical signals. The incoming optical signal is sent to a transimpedance and limiting amplifier before being electrically reclocked at the output. Each BC323R is housed in a compact, rugged enclosure designed for outside broadcasts and special events as well as studios. Power is provided by the PS12 unit sold separately. The PS12 features an IEC mains inlet for easy integration into standard equipment racks. The BC323R has a 4-pin XLR connector allowing power to be supplied from various external DC sources in the range of 4.5 to 17 V. The BC323 units are extremely compact dual-channel optical converters, ideally suited for providing interference-free transmission and extending the range of electrical signals, particularly HD-SDI and 3G-SDI signals. Each channel can operate in non-reclocked mode and handles data rates from 50 Mb/s to 3 Gb/s. The BC323R is available in single-mode, WDM and CWDM versions to suit any fibre optic application.
