The Bluebell Shax system has been designed to enable the deployment of SD-SDI and HD-SDI broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors using ordinary single-mode fibre optic.
This system allows the user to replace the hybrid fibre/copper cable between the camera and CCU with a standard fibre cable. The Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls that have pre-installed fibre networks.
Both ends of this system are enclosed in a compact, lightweight and robust aluminium housing, ideally suited for outside broadcast and air transport applications where the camera can be powered locally.
Shax extends the range of the camera system and frees the operator from significant lengths of cumbersome hybrid cable. Connection with duplex single-mode fibre is made via standard SC, LC, ST or FC connectors.
