Bluebell's Shax system has been designed to enable deployment of SD-SDI and HD-SDI broadcast cameras equipped with standard SMPTE 304M hybrid connectors using ordinary single-mode optical fibre.

This system allows the user to replace the fibre/copper hybrid cable between the camera and the CCU with a standard fibre cable. The Shax system is perfect for stadiums, arenas and concert halls with pre-installed fibre networks.

Both ends of this system are housed in a compact, lightweight and reinforced aluminium housing, perfectly suited to outside broadcast applications and portable systems where the camera can be powered locally.

Shax extends the range of the camera system and frees the operator from long lengths of cumbersome hybrid cable. Connection with duplex single-mode fibre is made via standard SC, LC, ST or FC connectors.
