FiDO mini-converters offer unrivalled flexibility and value for money for SDI-Fibre conversion, enabling cable lengths up to 10 km with electrical isolation - useful for eliminating ground loop problems. FiDO converters use a compact, space-saving housing that works well in confined spaces around and behind equipment racks, trucks and on camera.
FiDO is a family of SDI/Fibre optic converters. FiDO enables transport of SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI over distances up to 10 km using standard single-mode fibre optic cable. FiDO converters also provide useful electrical isolation to eliminate ground loop problems. Models are available with LC, SC or ST connectors.
FiDO converters meet all relevant SMPTE specifications and are robust, versatile and suitable for indoor or outdoor use. With 11 models, FiDO offers unrivalled flexibility and value for money. Two-channel FiDO models enable conversion of two channels - perfect for 3D, dual-link SDI or two completely independent SDI channels (e.g. SD, HD and 3G can be mixed in any combination).
Four-channel FiDO models enable conversion of a complete quad-link 4K signal (or four independent 3G-SDI signals) using a single converter. FiDO converters come in a compact, space-saving housing for use in confined spaces around and behind equipment racks, trucks and crowded installations.
Universal power supply
All AJA mini-converters come with a universal power supply that includes international connections for worldwide use.
Compact and portable
AJA mini-converters are small enough to be placed behind a monitor, at the rear of a rack or directly on a camera mount. A locking power connector cannot be accidentally unplugged and an optional P-TAP power cable enables battery power in remote locations.
AJA quality - Warranty
All AJA mini-converters are covered by a 5-year warranty and AJA's advance replacement policy. If a replacement is required, AJA will immediately ship a new unit without the need to send the original unit first, ensuring you're back up and running as quickly as possible.
