The PreSonus PRM1 is a precision reference microphone specially designed for use with audio analysis tools for sound system optimisation and room tuning.
The PRM1 uses a pre-polarised 1/4" electret condenser capsule with an omnidirectional pickup pattern. This is particularly advantageous when tuning your sound system in a specific acoustic space or room as it allows the microphone to pick up both reflections and direct signals from the sound source. Additionally, the microphone is designed to achieve a flat frequency response with a relatively narrow dynamic range. These characteristics contribute to accurate readings of test frequencies by your spectral analysis software or devices.
The microphone comes with a microphone clip, a windscreen for use in outdoor acoustic environments, and a hard case for transport and storage.
Recommended for use with PreSonus StudioLive mixing consoles and VSL with Smaart Measurement Technology analysis tools.
